PARTICIPANTS ON THIS COURSE MUST HAVE COMPLETED A CERTIFIED KT1 AND KT2 KINESIO TAPING COURSE. THEY MUST ALSO HAVE UNDERTAKEN LYMPHOEDEMA TRAINING.

Biography

Justine Whitaker, CKTI

Justine Whitaker is a Registered Nurse and has 16 years experience in the field of lymphoedema.

Set in an 'area of outstanding natural beauty' her treatment clinic, Northern Lymphology, offers assessment and treatment of all aspects of lymphatic disorders.She also lectures at University of University of Central Lancashire and has presented at both national and international conferences. Justine Whitaker won Nurse of the year in 2007 for the innovation of the Whitaker Pouch for scrotal oedema.

Day 1 - KT3 Kinesio Taping® Basic Lymphoedema (Total hours: 7)

Review of Fundamentals of Kinesio Taping® (2 hrs)

Fundamental Applications (5 hrs)

Introduction to Lymphatic System
Deep Trunk Drainage
Taping for Breast Oedema
Lymphatic Pathways for the Arm
Lymphatic Pathways for the Leg
Feet and Hands

Day 2 - KT3 Kinesio Taping® Advanced Lymphoedema (Total hours: 7)

Advanced Lymphoedema Treatment (4 hrs)

Routing and Re-Routing of the Trunk
Routing and Re-Routing of the Head and Neck
Routing and Re-Routing of the Arm
Routing and Re-Routing of the Leg

Scar Taping (1.5 hrs)

Advanced tape cuts and applications (1 hr)

Problem Solving (0.5 hr)
