Kinesio Taping for Lymphoedema Update courses are designed for practitioners who have previously attended KT1, KT2 and KT3 Lymphoedema courses with Kinesio UK. Participants on this course will update and improve their skills by learning the latest taping techniques for lymphoedema. Discussion sessions will also allow practitioners to share their taping knowledge and success stories. Update courses run in association with Kinesio UK are approved by the International Kinesio Taping Association, founded by Dr Kenzo Kase. They are taught by experienced Certified Kinesio Taping Instructors and have worldwide recognition.
Participants on Update Courses must have attended all 3 courses previously (KT1, KT2 & KT3-Lymph). This includes courses taught by Ruth Coopee, Kim Rock-Stockheimer and Dede Wanzek. Unfortunately, we cannot accept bookings onto an Update course unless you meet the above criteria.
Course Overview
A one-day laboratory update workshop with practical applications using Kinesio Tex,
a hypoallergenic adhesive tape for lymphoedema.
9am - Welcome & Introduction
9.15am - Discussion - Experiences and Success Stories
10am - Coffee
10.30am - Review of the concepts and theory of Kinesio Tex Tape, Applications, Cuts
12.30pm - Lunch
13.15pm - Taping Lab: Shoulder impairment, Scar Tissue Management,
Specific oedemas including: hand/feet/breast/genital/head & neck, postural corrections of the aforementioned,
General Taping Tips, Q & A session, confidence building,
Discussion on research.
5pm - Close of day
